This course includes theory and practical tests only, no training will be given. This course is only suitable for experienced operators only.
Course Title: N212 NPORS Skid Steer – TEST ONLY.
Course Content:
NPORS Test Only – The test only course is designed for operators who are experience and don’t require any assistance and are able to undertake a theory and practical test meeting the standards of the chosen accreditation. (You will need to complete a profile sheet that shows sufficient experience to be able to undertake this test only course at time of booking).

Delegates successfully completing the course will receive a:
NPORS Certification is valid for two or five years. The NPORS CSCS trained operator card last 2 years (to obtain this type of card you will require to have completed a CSCS Health and Safety test within the last 2 years and have proof). If you have not passed a CSCS Health and Safety test in the last 2 years then you will receive a five year traditional card without the CSCS logo.
Course Content:
Upon completion of this course the delegates will have undertaken theory and practical tests to demonstrate their ability to:
- Gaining a basic understanding of the industry, the dangers of working in the industry and responsibilities as a plant operator.
- Learning a working knowledge of the manufacturer’s handbook for the particular machine to be used.
- Being able to locate and identify the major components of the machine and explain their functions.
- Being able to locate and identify key controls and explain their functions.
- Conducting all pre-operational checks in accordance with manufacturer’s and legislative requirements.
- Identifying and maintaining PPE appropriate for skid steer loader use.
- Preparing the skid steer loader for use and operating machinery safely and efficiently
- Environmental considerations
- Storage and transport of implements and attachments
- Demonstrating knowledge and understanding of loading and unloading procedures for machine transportation.
- Carrying out all end of shift and shut down procedures.
