We are ideally located for individuals travelling to us with a train station only a few minutes away. We can also arrange transport from the train station to our centre if required.

Description

This course includes practical training plus theory and practical tests only, no theory training will be given. This course is aimed at those that are experienced or already attended a course and perhaps not achieved it and require some additional training.

Course Title:

CPCS Appointed Person (A61).

Course Content:

This course will test your understanding of the appointed person’s responsibilities and how to fulfil them.

It will also prove your ability to interpret and apply sections 1, 2, 3 and 4 of the BS 7121 Safe Use of Cranes guidelines.

Upon completion of this course delegates will have proven that they are able to:

  • Observe regulations and Codes of Practice.
  • Follow safe systems of work including method statements.
  • Take personal responsibility.
  • Describe different types of cranes and associated terminology.
  • Understand crane documentation.
  • Understand crane stability, duty charts and safety devices.
  • Appreciate tower cranes.
  • Observe British Standard 7121.
  • Recognise the role of appointed persons.
  • Plan a lift.
