The machine that will be used for this course will be 360 Above – Hitachi zx130.

Delegates successfully completing the course will receive a CPCS Red Trained Operator card.

We are ideally located for individuals travelling to us with a train station only a few minutes away. We can also arrange transport from the train station to our centre if required.

Description

This is a refresher course and includes 1 day of training and 1 day of testing.

Course Title:

CPCS 360 Excavator above and below 10 tonnes (A59A)

Course Content:

Upon completion of this course the delegates will have undertaken theory and practical tests to demonstrate their ability to:

  • Operating the excavator, understanding its controls and terminology.
  • Adhering to regulations and laws governing excavator operations.
  • Performing thorough pre-use inspections.
  • Navigating challenging terrains like rough and undulating ground, steep inclines, and flat surfaces.
  • Manoeuvring the excavator in tight or restricted spaces.
  • Digging various types of excavations in diverse ground conditions.
  • Loading materials into transport vehicles and hoppers.
  • Levelling and smoothing ground surfaces.
  • Attaching and detaching buckets to the excavator.
  • Lifting, relocating, and correctly placing basic suspended loads.
  • Executing proper shutdown and securing procedures.

In addition to the above, delegates will understand the individual responsibilities for their own safety and the safety of others, including:

  • Typical construction hazards and how these are controlled
  • How everyone can help achieve better practical standards of safety on site
  • Legal requirements and liabilities
  • Working at height
  • Manual Handling
  • Fire prevention

  • Occupational Health

This is a comprehensive training course designed for delegates to enter the construction site with full knowledge of working with an Excavator 360 above 10 tonnes.
